A LEADER WITH PASSION & VISION

A Leader emerges as a Leader when he is deeply passionate about certain things, has a clear vision and does hard work to achieve that passionate selfless desire.

In the Bible, Nehemiah was one of such leaders. Around 445 BC, when he was serving in Persia as the King’s immediate servant, he heard about the ruin of the City of Jerusalem and its surrounding wall, being a Jew his heart was moved, and he was worried and greatly distressed. And this trouble made him restless and thrust him to do something about it.

So his distress changed into a passion for renovating and rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem and securing this city. And he developed a clear vision, that is to “Renovate and Rebuild the Walls of Jerusalem”

Now when he arrived at Jerusalem to do this work, the opposition and threats were not little. There were many obstacles and troublemakers. Yet he had united the people of Jerusalem in fulfilling the vision.

The wall was about 4 Km long, 2.5 meters thick, and 12m in height. Despite opposition, he started the work and completed the project within 52 days. Even in 2024 with all our modern equipment, I doubt this will not be easy to complete in 52 days. But his initiation, hard work, and faith in God helped him to accomplish this historical movement.

My dear friend, A Passion, which is transformed into a Vision, and an action with faith in God and hard work to fulfill the vision will lead us to accomplishments. So, move boldly to accomplish your God-given vision.

Peace be upon you!
