REST IS GOD’S IDEA
Do you know God wants you to rest?
Weekly off is not man’s idea it is actually God’s idea.
The first book in the Bible says he had created everything in six days and on the 7th day he rested. And the best part we all may know here is, after he had created everything he created man and when he created man the next day was 7th day and It was the day of rest. Now God did not tell man ‘now I have done all my work I am tired, now you go and do my work’ NO, he did not say so.
Bible gives an account in Luke 3:38 Adam was the son of God. If God was resting, I am sure he gave his Son also a rest.
And here, He had already done everything for Adam.
There was food, there was water, there was health, there was peace, there was beauty, there was sun, there was shadow, there was gold, etc. Now Adam was enjoying his presence and all these inheritance that God prepared for him.
Here the point to note is Adam does not need to work and toil to earn all these. It was already prepared by his father. He just needed to take and enjoy.
But when Adam lost all these through sin Jesus had come and restored all these to us through his sacrifice.
Now we present age Adams in the same position where the First Adam was, being Sons of God in his image and likeness full of intelligence, creativity and ability. And where Father had already prepared every good thing for us.
Yes these are true.
Believing in this above truth will actually set you free and ease you from many burdens and bondages.
But please be careful, here we are not advising laziness. Proverbs 10: 4 says “Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth”.
and Genesis 2:15 says “ He put man at work in Eden and to take care of it” But he was not working to get paid from God but he was working because he was created in the image and likeness of God.
So the understanding here is our wealth, health, peace, Blessing are already our inheritance through finished work by our father through Jesus’ sacrifice. We inherit them through faith. But we work to glorify God and to watch and enjoy our work of our Hands or we may say creation of our hands.
We need not to stretch and stress to earn things but we can rest that God has already provided because it is the finished work of Jesus. And it does manifest when we have faith.
Just like Adam had everything, we have everything for us (ref. Ephesians 1:3).
All we need to get there is, have complete faith and rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Father in Heaven, Thank you daddy for you restored my relationship which Adam had with you. And thank you father you have prepared everything for me. Help me to realize that I do not need to stress to have all those needs met but I can restfully inherit and enjoy it.
