Jesus in Anger – Part 1
We all know Jesus as a man full of love. But there are occasions Jesus got angered over people. We must be aware of those causes, so that we too will not upset Him.
Imagine if we or some of our family member is suffering from any disease and there is an expert doctor has come to meet us as a friendly visit, shall we not consult with him? we will, right?
Once there was a person with paralyzed hand standing in the church (synagogue) when Jesus was there. But the pastors and elders of that church (religious leaders) knowing Jesus can heal him, did not give any concern to restore the person but wanted to blame Jesus if He would heal him on that Sabbath day.
Jesus got angered at them because of their loveless hardened heart. The religious leaders given more care for the tradition rather than suffering person, which provoked Jesus anger.
Mark 3:5 says, “He looked round at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.”
Let us be aware that, it is more important to show love than zeal. People are more important than practice. Let us be careful about it so that we will not anger the Lord.
Peace be with you!
