Oil for the Light

There was a lamp in the tabernacle of God, this lamp was to be kept burning always. Israelites have used clear oil of pressed olive in the lamp for the light.

Exodus 27:20, “Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning.”

My dear friends, the Lord wants us always to shine light through us, and we too want to shine and not to get darkened. We do shine sometimes, we are presence conscious on the Sunday/ sabbath or during the days of prayer meetings we are filled with the holy spirit, or, at least we walk with little holiness while we are going to the church, so those times we shine a little for a while.

But after a few days the light fades, isn’t it? Then, how shall we continuously shine a light from us?

Exodus 39:37 says, the Israelites brought oil for the light. We must understand that we are the lamps of God, but we are not the oil for the lord. The Pressed clear Olive oil is our Holy Spirit, If we are filled with him, we shall be kept burning and produce light.

Let us keep burning by being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Peace be upon you!
