Dying for Christ is easy

Many of us are ready to die for Christ, but many are not committed to live for Christ. I believe living for Christ is tougher than dying for Christ, because in living for Christ we need to die every day.

Jesus said in Mathew 16:24, …“If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.”

Dying for Christ or being martyred is so easy compared to living for Christ. If you are martyred it pains only a moment to you, but you will join eternity soon. But living for Christ, it takes our personal efforts and commitment to live straight before God and Man until our last breath.

Every day we need to give up our desire, we need to be disciplined even when no one is watching us. We need to giveup our time and resources for the sake of Christ. We need to minister to the Lord even if we don’t like the place or the people, or even when we are tired.

But that commitment in this short life is worth living. Because we will be rewarded in eternity, God will be glorified and His kingdom will be built on earth.

Let us commit to live for Christ, may God help us and strengthen us to live for Him.
