CAN THIS PLAGUE BE STOPPED?
Today we all are in panic stage and wondering what is this historical negative event happening around the world. It seems like the biggest challenge mankind has ever handled. The spreading plague Covid-19 seems unstoppable and overpowering. On 20-March-2020 the cases were 200,000 people, today 25-Mar-2020 it is 452,000 people and the death toll is 20,500 people as of now around the world. The governments all over the world have come to the conclusion that there is no way other than shutting down everything and seclude people at their homes. But we all have many things in our minds, ‘How long can we stay home, 15 days, 30 days or Three (3) months, is it sufficient? After that period, will the virus be destroyed 100%. Even if one person will have this virus after this isolation period, will it not spread again?
I believe no one has satisfactory answer to that question. But I believe there is one solution. (Whoever reading this, please have a patience to read it because I am referring the solution from the bible) For all those who believe in Christ, we have got a call to make an end to this overpowering disease.
“Numbers 16:47-48 So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them. He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped.”
In number chapter 16:45-50 when there was plague came among the people, Moses immediately told Aaron to make atonement for the people by taking the censer and put incense in it along with fire from the altar and to go among the people. The plague was the consequence of the sins of the people against God’s servants. Today this covid-19 could be from similar consequences, or could be some other sin of the people, God knows it. Nevertheless, it is our (every believer) responsibility to offer a sincere prayer to God for the forgiveness of the people, and the plague to stop. Offering incense in the censer is symbolical meaning of people offering prayer to God (Ps. 141:2, Rev. 5:8). And fire from the altar is a symbolical meaning of Holy Spirit and holiness in our life. Cleanse yourself and offer a spirit filled prayer to God to forgive the people and to stop the plague. Our God is merciful. Only He can stop and destroy this virus and put an end to this epidemic, if we, His people would open our heart and cry unto him.
Let all his children all over this country and this world unite in our hearts, in our own homes and cry unto God in fasting (if possible) and in Praying. When the incense that’s burning (our prayers) will rise unto God the plague will be stopped.
