Not an Obstacle but an Umbrella

There is a story about the root of a tree. A tree in a town has many leaves and branches. Whenever it rained, these leaves prevented the rainwater from reaching the roots directly, so they fell off the tree.

Because of this, the root was growling very angrily every time. One day, unable to bear this, the root went to the top of the tree and sat on the top of the branches, and while doing so, the root looked at the leaves and said, ‘You have prevented the good things from coming to me for so many days, now I have climbed above you.’

But the root, which had been underground until now, felt a sensation it had not experienced ever, that is the heat of the sun. It could not bear it, after that, the root realized that what he had done was wrong and knew that these leaves were not an obstacle for it, but they were an umbrella to protect them, and it went back under the tree.

Sometimes in our life, we pass through some suffering, obstacles, and trials, and we have a lot of pain about it, don’t we?

Scripture says in James 1:12, “God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”

My dear friends, the Lord never allows trials to destroy us, but rather to strengthen us. Remember one thing, the trials that come our way are mild and pass quickly, and when we overcome and endure them, they bring far greater eternal glory.

Peace be upon you!
