DID JESUS HELP THE POOR FINANCIALLY?

Proverbs 19:17, He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.

As children of God we need to help the poor financially and by other means. When we do that, God feel obligated to reward us in return. Jesus always helped the poor financially.

John 13:29, Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the Feast, OR TO GIVE SOMETHING TO THE POOR. (John13:29). The above verse is one evident that Jesus was helping the poor. And the another evident can be understood from John 12: 4-6 where Judas rebuked Martha for using the perfume on Jesus instead of selling and giving it to poor, Judas did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it. Our point here is Jesus appointed Judas to help the poor from the money bag. Jesus cared for the poor and helped them financially and by other means. He helped the widow of Nain, he cared and blessed the poor widow who put two coin on the offering box.

Let us have a heart to help the poor which please God and bring blessing in our life.
