MIRACLES AND HEALINGS ARE VITAL IN REPENTANCE OF THE PEOPLE
Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. (Luke 10:13)
We are in the high time to evangelize the worldlike never before.Is it sufficient, if we just send millions of people to do it? will it open the hearts of people and make them attentive? Look at how was the ministry of Jesus, He had not just preached the kingdom, but He performed miracles, healed the sick, drove out the demonson daily basis andhe raised the deads, and consequently great crowd followed him. In the new testament, we see on many occasions people were searching for Jesus and thousands were waiting on him. Even though He went place to place to preach the kingdom, He always had crowd to listen to, because the miracles and healings were delivered from His hands.
Today, how is our ministry and evangelism going on? Is it easy to turn thousands and tens of thousands to Christ? I think No, It is really hard to make someone believe the truth. To gather one meeting and bring non-believers in to the meeting is not easy today. If you make a magic show and say it is free, I believe many will come to see it, but not the gospel meeting. In Acts 8: 4 – 6, Philip was preaching the gospel in Samaria, in verse 6 it is written “The crowds gathered and were paying close attention to everything Philip said , as they heard and saw the signs which he was doing.” And where ever the miracles were performed by apostles, In the amplified bible, it is stated as it was an attestation of their message.
In Luke 10:13 Jesus cursed the cities Korazin& Bethsaida, because they did not repent after seeing the miracles performed among them. Jesus was aware of the role and positive consequences of divine miracles. It will open the hearts of people to listen, and when they listen the message will work in their heart.
My dear brothers and sisters, Miracles and Signs are vital and highly demanded in order to bring many people in to Christ through gospel.
Let us ask God to make our message and the message of all the evangelist to be attested by him through miracles, wonders and signs to bring multitude in to the kingdom.
