Obedience? or Sacrifice?

Tithing, offering and sacrificial giving are great, it must be done, but they are not greater than obedience to the Lord. Praying regularly and reading bible every day is good and it is important, but it is not better than listening to him with obedient heart.

We may have given the best part of our life to the Lord, but if do we not obey His simple commands then we are not better at His sight.

Some of us even pray that “Lord I am ready to even die for you” Isn’t it? what about his simple commands of love: love your enemies, love your neighbors, are we following that? If we do, then that’s better than any great sacrifice.

1 Samuel 15:22 says, “…Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the
LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”

My dear friends, let us give our hearts to listen and obey to the Lord, which is better than sacrifice.
