WHICH TRUTH WILL DELIVER ME?

John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Jesus said “know the truth, the truth will set you free”. Now, what is Truth? The Truth could be attributed to Word of God (or) Teachings of Jesus, both are right. But, further to the above verse (Jn.8:32), in John 8:36, Jesus is telling “If the son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” It means the Truth is nothing but Jesus Himself. Knowing that Jesus is the son of God and our Lord & savior will set us free from Sin and its condemnation.

This is what happens in our salvation. When We come to know Jesus and accepts him as our Lord and savior, we experience the change of heart and the Joy inexpressible in us. And consequently, we are set free from the old life.

Remember the woman who was caught in adultery, at her first reply she called Him “LORD”. Jesus knew why she is calling him ‘Lord’, because she had come to know who Jesus is. And she was set free. That’s why after that incident He said to the crowd “Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Today in your life, know the Truth and the Truth will set you free. The Truth is Jesus. He is your Lord and savior; He is the Son of God. If you will know him as your Lord over your situation, over sickness, over the pressures, over every obstacle, then He will deliver you. If Jesus sets you free, you will be free indeed”
