CONTRACT FOR PEACE
Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my COVENANT OF PEACE be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you. Isaiah.54:10.
The word covenant can be understood as CONTRACT in today’s term. When there is contract between two parties, they are obliged to do it. But when there is force majeure or natural calamity that disturbs the contract, it can lead to compromise or cancellation of contract. But God’s contracts are not like that, one of his contracts is to provide uspeace. His covenant (Contract) to provide us peace will never be compromised. He said in Is. 54:10 even the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed my covenant to give you peace will not be broken.
Today, Are you going through trouble or pain, are you feeling like God is not there with you? Do not be afraid, whatever the situation you are going through, He can and will bring you to peace. Your situation cannot nullify his covenant of peace. Trust in Him, He will restore everything better than before. His contract to give you peace can never be broken. Be still and know that He is God over your situation.
Recently (Jan. 2020), me and my wife had to go through a major turmoil in our life, our one-year old daughter had suffered injury in her head, The CT scan reports compelled doctor to go for surgery to avoid further complications. Hearing this, I felt like dying, We could not even pray, because everything was pitch dark for me and my wife. But God had strengthened me with this verse Isaiah 54:10, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.
After much prayer and consultation with many doctors, We had gone ahead for the surgery and the baby has been restored by the grace of God. God has brought us from agony to peace. Though we are still in the process of healing from that agonized moment, God is with us to heal us and he brought us peace. My point is when we are going through fire and water, pain and troubles, remember the contract of Peace i.e Is. 54:10. and stand firm. He will bring you to Peace. Do not be afraid or worried.
